Excursions

One of our guiding principles states:

“We believe that the goal of education is to form young men and women who will seek truth, goodness, and beauty in all things, and live lives of evangelization and service.”

One of the most simple and authentic ways of teaching our students about beauty is by providing opportunities that allow for an encounter with nature and God’s creation. This time in the outdoors to explore, be active, and come together as a community outside of the classroom is a gift and one that we are very excited to introduce into the culture of our school. We are inspired by Saint John Paul II whose early priesthood was marked by taking the youth of his Parish into the mountains to kayak, ski, hike, and camp. It was, and still is, an awesome way to connect with the world around us and with each other.

Our outdoor excursion program will include planned events throughout the school year and will happen approximately once/month. This will include a variety of activities including paddling, hiking, retreats, skiing, and others.

All excursions are scheduled into the school day and supervised by our faculty. Families receive information about each planned event with appropriate permission slips, waivers and information about transportation and what
students should pack for the trip.
