OFFICE ASSISTANT/ ADMISSIONS COORDINATOR
The Office Assistant/Admissions Coordinator at Saint Joseph Regional School and Our Lady of Mercy Academy supports the administration through office duties as well as playing a supporting role in school communications/marketing and the admissions and enrollment process for current and incoming students and families.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the office needs:
● Answer phones and assist families, staff, students, and visitors
● Manage student attendance and tardy slips
● Maintain student health and immunization records
● Manage minor student injuries/medical needs as needed
● Order school and office supplies, maintain accurate records of purchase orders and monitor teacher budget balances
● Assist in coordination of school field trips and event planning
● Coordinate parent volunteers and manage volunteer forms
● Facilitate yearly programs: Vision screening and the local Sneaker Program
● Prepare correspondences, reports, and communications as directed by the
principal
● Oversee school van/driver certification process and van usage
● Cover OLMA front office as needed
Advancement/ Marketing support:
● Assist with school events, special projects, fundraisers
● Prepare donor/benefactor thank you letters for principal
● Maintain social media platforms (Facebook/Instagram)
● Work with principal to create school and parish newsletters and communications
Admissions coordinator:
● Respond promptly to inquiries and solicit additional information.
● Arrange for tours and meetings with Principal.
● Send families link to application and monitor status, providing support as needed.
● Provide completed application to admissions team with supporting information/documents.
● Schedule shadow day and assessments with teachers.
● Communicate decision to family and initiate enrollment process.
● Complete enrollment process and facilitate financial aid applications.
● Monitor re-enrollment status for existing students.
● Answer questions and provide support for families as they complete re-enrollment
● Communicate with Executive Assistant and Principal regarding status of re-enrollment.
Qualifications:
● High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework preferred.
● Previous administrative or school office experience strongly preferred.
● Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
● Ability to work independently and handle confidential information with discretion.
● Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, email systems, and student management software.
● Commitment to the mission and values of a Catholic school environment.
Working Conditions:
● In office 5 days/week
● Flexibility to assist with school-related events outside of normal hours may be needed.
PART-TIME PRE-K- 12TH GRADE ART TEACHER
Saint Joseph Regional School and Our Lady of Mercy Academy seek a creative, faith-filled, and enthusiastic Part-Time Art Teacher to provide engaging visual arts instruction for students in Pre-K through Grade 12. The successful candidate will inspire artistic expression, foster
creativity, and support the academic and spiritual mission of our Catholic schools. This position involves planning and delivering age-appropriate art instruction, showcasing student work, and cultivating an appreciation for the arts within a Christ-centered learning environment.
Essential Responsibilities
● Plan and teach developmentally appropriate art lessons for students in Pre-K through Grade 12.
● Introduce students to a variety of artistic techniques, media, art history, and cultural perspectives.
● Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity, self-expression, and respect.
● Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs and abilities of students.
● Organize and maintain art supplies, equipment, and classroom spaces.
● Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
● Display student artwork throughout the school and coordinate art exhibits, showcases, or special events.
● Collaborate with faculty and administration to support interdisciplinary learning opportunities.
● Communicate effectively with parents, students, and school staff.
● Uphold the mission, values, and teachings of the Catholic Church and serve as a positive role model for students.
Qualifications
● Bachelor's degree in Art Education, Fine Arts, Education, or a related field preferred.
● Teaching certification or eligibility for certification preferred.
● Experience teaching art to children and adolescents in a school setting preferred.
● Knowledge of a wide range of artistic media and techniques.
● Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
● Commitment to supporting the mission and values of Catholic education.

SUBSTITUTE TEACHER
Saint Joseph Regional School (SJRS) and Our Lady of Mercy Academy (OLMA) are seeking qualified, dedicated individuals to serve as Substitute Teachers periodically during the school year. Candidates do not need to be certified teachers, but classroom experience is beneficial. Retired teachers are welcome! Experience working with children/teens is preferred, as well as:
•A nurturing disposition with the ability to supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of our students at all times.
•Interest in supporting the individual development of each student.
•The ability to implement detailed lesson plans provided by faculty members.
•Familiarity with general classroom management techniques.
•Availability during the full school day (8am-3pm) and willing to be on-call or scheduled in advance.
